MPiec Series
MPiec controllers feature Yaskawa’s motion engine integrated within the IEC61131-3 and PLCopen programming standards. The MotionWorks IEC software, which uses these standards, helps reduce machine development time by allowing code to be easily encapsulated and reused. Programmers can choose from a variety of languages including function block diagrams, ladder, structured text, sequential function charts, and instruction lists.
The MPiec series includes single and multi-axis packages capable of controlling up to 62 servo axes. The single axis controllers are integrated with the Sigma-5 amplifiers and have built-in analog I/O, digital I/O along with two Ethernet ports for upstream connectivity. The multi-axis controllers are modular stand alone units with Ethernet and MECHATROLINK network connectivity.
All MPiec controllers have a built in web server which greatly reduces field maintenance time and allows users to load new programs and update controller firmware. In addition, all MPiec controllers support the Ethernet/IP and Modbus/TCP (master and slave) protocols, which connect to most PLCs and expanded I/O. Machine designers can optimize their control architecture with the scalability and modularity of the MPiec controllers and MotionWorks IEC development software.
