This distance learning course is designed to provide working knowledge and skills for Proficy Batch Execution. It includes lab time configuring Batch development tools for batch and hybrid process scenarios. • Details: • 5 days, 5 hour/day, 25 total hours • Instructor-led training with self-directed activities • Delivered via Web conference, teleconference, and cloud supported simulation environments • Quality internet connections are essential for student productivity • Course Enrolment closes two weeks prior to course launch to allow for delivery of course materials
Who should attend?
This course is designed for process, automation, or instrumentation engineers and system integrators who will be developing, configuring, and using applications on an iBatch system.
Are there any prerequisites?
Students should have prior exposure to control system basics such as programming and operating PLCs and HMI/SCADA software. Being able to navigate and configure a Windows operating system as well as the installed application software is essential. Introductory knowledge of the ISA S88 Specification is also helpful.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
• Understand architecture communication between Batch Server and Client nodes.
• Create new Batch projects and configure the Batch Server.
• Configure the Batch Archiver and the Batch Publisher.
• Create Equipment Configuration, including Area, Process Cells, Units, Equipment Phases and Control Modules.
• Create recipes using Sequential Function Charts (SFC) in the Batch Recipe Editor.
• Create Class Based Batch applications.
• Use the Batch Client to monitor batch production.
• Use Batch Integration Services and ActiveX objects to monitor batch production.
